About

Jane is a seasoned professional having gained experience in the areas of Internal Audit, Risk Management and Finance over the last 28 years. She has held Senior Leadership positions and has overseen implementation of innovative solutions and processes for improved efficiency of operations.

Jane was appointed to set up and operationalize the Defined Contribution Pension Scheme at the Central Bank of Kenya, including the Governance Structure of the Scheme in 2012. The Scheme has grown from a Fund Value of Kshs. 250M to over Kshs. 8B and has posted returns of 10% on average.

In her service to the retirement sector, Jane has served in the Council of the Association of Retirement Benefits Schemes as a Council member and in the Finance and Governance Committee. She is the current Chairperson of the Association. Under her leadership, advocacy efforts to support the retirement sector have been achieved including sustained education and awareness. Jane has also served as a member of the regional committee for the development of a harmonized risk management framework for the East Africa Region. She has also sat at the advisory committees of private equity firms where pension schemes have invested in alternative assets.

Jane is a trainer and has been involved in training initiatives for various training intuitions. She is also a regular speaker at workshops and conferences. Jane has certification in Corporate Governance for Directors, the Trustee Development Program Certification, the Global Association of Risk Professionals Certification and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor. She has attended Management and Leadership Programs at the Strathmore Business School and various professional and technical trainings. She holds a Masters in Strategic Management and is a member of ICPAK.
